Saint Ann Retirement Center hosted a Hawaiian Luau Dinner and Dance on Friday, August 17th for our residents. The festivities began with a lively dance in the Grand Theater featuring "The Elderly Brothers." Our Activity Directors provided special Hawaiian drinks for everyone and they were served in special colorful glasses. Some of our residents entered the dance floor and shared their talent with us. Everyone enjoyed the lively music.
Following the dance, residents entered the beautifully decorated dining room featuring incredible displays of food, including a roasted pig. Many side dishes adorned the tables with several entrees of meat and fish. The dessert display was also filled with many choices of cakes, cookies, and other tasty treats. The dining tables were also decorated in very colorful plates, napkins and hawaiian glasses. The kitchen staff, led by Daree and Allison, truly did an outstanding job in decorating, preparing and serving this delicious meal. Many photos were taken and residents ordered several copies to share with their families.
